The ESRU is a full partner of the Connect-EU Network, funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya and designed to foster support between academic institutions involved in collaborative European research in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Main objectives:
- Increase critical power of researchers that participate and lead projects within the SSH 7FP within different thematic areas
- Increase the capacity of influence of researches in the processes of elaboration and avalutationof programs
- Rank Research and Development in Catalonia in SSH favorably towards the FP8
- Promote the transfer of knowledge in the SSH in the European projects framework.
