Welcome to the web page of the Program of Cellular Therapy of the Facultat of Medicine of the University of Barcelona.

The program in Cellular Therapy of the University of Barcelona (TCUB) includes the equipments of investigation of the Faculty of Medicine in the field of the biomedical investigation traslacional with cells mother and regenerative medicine. They take part in the program TCUB the centers of investigation of international reference IDIBAPS and IDIBELL, as well as the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona.
The scientific potential in regenerative medicine of these centers is one of the major values of the program TCUB, who adopt the commitment to stimulate the investigation traslacional of excellence in cellular therapy.This program understands different medical areas: neurology and locomotive device, diabetes and metabolism, cardiology, hemato-oncology, ophthalmology, neumología. The program also has the participation of the coordination of transplants of the Hospital Clínic.
The program TCUB possesses the financing of the CMRB and the Autonomous government of Catalonia, of the Department of Science and Innovation and of the Network of Cellular Therapy of the Institute of Health Carlos III.

The main goal of the program TCUB is to promote the investigation traslacional on cellular therapy and regenerative medicine. For it, the program provides the necessary conditions to develop new therapeutic strategies in cellular therapy and regenerative medicine. The program TCUB facilitates the flow of information about protocols, strategies and possible applications of the different sources of cells and / or fabrics. This facilitates the study of possible sources and mechanisms of cellular rederivation, as well as of the basic mechanisms of cellular functioning with a view to the clinical application. From the own facilities of the program TCUB they put on the facilities to take an idea from the studies preclínicos up to the test of concept and the clinical tests.  The investigators of the program TCUB promise to standardize protocols with procedures and infrastructures adapted according to the law of the medicine for his clinical utilization.
The program TCUB supports a narrow relation with the department of Innovation of the Hospital Clínic who provides support in intellectual protection to the investigators of the program TCUB.
