In the new European university framework these programs have a specific academic value.

Many of the programs prepare students for doctorate studies and research, but they also provide specialized professional training for university graduates already working in other areas. |
| The academic year 2006-2007 marks the beginning of the UB's incorporation in the European Higher Education Area, so that while the University will continue to offer doctoral programs according to the stipulations of the Spanish Government's Royal Decree 778/98 it will now also be possible for students to follow official postgraduate programs leading to a PhD qualification. |
The University of Barcelona Group offers the student the most complete program of multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary postgraduate courses in Catalonia and one of the widest in Spain.

You can choose between a Masters degree (more than 30 credits), a Postgraduate diploma (more than 15 credits) or a certificate of attainment (fewer than 15 credits).
You can also choose between programs taught on campus, on-line or courses that combine both tuition methods. |
