How are the representations of gender and sexuality constructed in current Brazilian literature? What are the debates that open up gender and intersectionality? What tensions do they generate in the Brazilian literary field? These questions will guide "O gênero na nova literatura brasilera", a conversation led by Leonardo Tonus (Université Paris-Sorbonne) and Helena González, director of the research center ADHUC, with the participation of the writers Marta Barcellos, Susanna Busato, Simone Paulino and Marcelo Maluf. Interventions are in Portuguese with simultaneous translation.

This activity is part of the fourth edition of Printemps littéraire brésilien, which presents a large group of writers from Brazil in Paris, Brussels, Barcelona and various cities in Portugal (Lisbon, Óbidos, Évora, Sintra). The activities in Barcelona are open to the public and will take place from 3 to 5 April 2017. Complete program available on the web.
