Call for Papers

We are please to announce the CFP for the International Conference "Auto/biografías de tránsfugas y parias en Latinoamérica y España. Siglos XX-XXI", which will be held in Warsaw. This conference is aimed at thinking about auto/biographic narratives by female defectors (Martine Leivobici) and pariahs (Hannah Arendt) as acts of narrative subjectivation in which lives, bodies and affects converge. The proposed figures for political theory will be analyzed in autobiographical literary and audiovisual texts which have a confluence in gender, sexuality and emotion theories, with the objective of carrying out cartographies of auto/biographical discourses and how these codify and question both normativity and exclusion positions. This conference is organized by ADHUC—Centre de Recerca Teoria, Gènere, Sexualitat with research groups GENIA (Uniwersytet Warszawski), Cos i Textualitat (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), Institut für Romanische Sprachen und Literaturen (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt amb Main) and Centro de Estudos Galegos at U. Warszawski. This conference is a result of the conference “Trànsfugues i pàries modernes: gènere i exclusió a la cultura popular del s. XXI” (FEM2017-83974-/P MINECO/AEI/FEDER, UE).
