L’univers vivent d’Hildegarda de Bingen: perspectives filosòfiques, by Georgina Rabassó (Seminari Filosofia i Gènere—ADHUC), has just been published. In this book, which is the result of Rabassó's doctoral thesis and which has been recently awarded with the Rafael Patxot i Jubert  award by the Institut d’Estudis Catalans, Georgina Rabassó analyzes Hildegarda de Bingen's cosmology which, despite being influential in its day, is often disregarded in studies on medieval philosophy. Rabassó brings us closer to Hildegarda's world, her academic life, her antedecents and the ways in which all the former changed her perception of the cosmos. L’univers vivent d’Hildegarda de Bingen advocates for a new conceptualization of the universe, different from the cosmological models dating from the 12th century.

The book presentation will take place on March 12, 2019 at 18h at the Institut d’Estudis Catalans.
