Los espacios del secreto en la temprana modernidad

With the objective of analyzing the multiple meanings of the secret within power relations, everyday life and the rise of intimacy in the modern world, as well as the construction of the subject and gender, the Àrea d'Història Moderna from Universitat de Barcelona organizes the seminar "Los espacios del secreto en la temprana modernidad". Marta Albalá Pelegrín, assistant professor of modern Hispanic literature at the California State Polytechnic University, will be in charge of holding the seminar, which will explore the importance of the notion of the secret in modern literature. This activity is organized by the Grup d'Estudis d'Història del Mediterrani Occidental (GEHMO) and Tàcita Muta–ADHUC Teoria, Gènere, Sexualitat, and is part of the research project Maneras de vivir en la España moderna.
