Maria Dolors MOLAS FONT is an associate professor of ancient history the University of Barcelona, a researcher at ADHUC- Research Center of Theory, Gender and Sexuality, and coordinator of the Tàcita Muta (Study Group on Women and Gender in Antiquity) since its creation in 1998. Her investigative work is structured around two main axes: Mediterranian protohistory and the iberian world of the north east of the Iberian Peninsula, and women and gender in ancient Greek and Roman societies. She has authored various essays and published collective works, among which stand out: Vivir en femenino. Estudios de mujeres en la antigüedad (2002); Morir en femenino. Mujeres, ideologia y prácticas funerarias desde la Prehistoria hasta la Edad Media, in collaboration with Sònia Guerra López (2003); Violencia deliberada. Las raíces de la violencia patriarcal (2007); De las mujeres y la guerra. Historia, creación y pensamiento (2012); La infancia en femenino: las niñas. Imágenes y figuras de la filiación, in collaboration with Aora Santiago Bautista, (2016) and in the monografic dossier Desorden y transgresión en el mundo antiguo del n. 18 (2012) of Lectora. She forms a part of the editorial council of the literary publication Lectora: revista de dones i textualitat.
