Toni R. Juncosa

Toni R. JUNCOSA is a predoctoral researcher at ADHUC—Centre de Recerca Teoria, Gènere, Sexualitat. His research focuses on notions of identity in contemporary US literature through the prism of Queer theory and critical thought. After graduating in Translation and Interpreting Studies (2013) from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and having studied at the universities of Kent, Lisbon, and Sussex, Juncosa was awarded an academic distinction from Universitat de Barcelona for his MA in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities (2018) with honours. His doctoral dissertation examines a phenomenology of the body coexisting with HIV based on a critical analysis of Danez Smith's poetry.
