Helena González from ADHUC-Teoria, Gènere, Sexualitat and Andrea Ruthven from the Universitat de Barcelona coordinate this course within the Universitat d'Estiu de les Dones (Women's Summer University) at the Universitat de Barcelona. Throughout the course's eight sessions, the students will read through current debates about identities articulated and written on the body; they will discuss the categories "woman" and "man" as re-defined by "trans" identities; they will explore ways of thinking the sexed body in relation with other forms of alterity, such as race; and they will re-think gender in contemporaneity.

The course has a cost of 155€ and there are discounts available for members of the UB community and the subscribers of La Vanguardia and El Periodico. Learn more about prices and registration procedures at the Àrea de Formació Complementària of the Universitat de Barcelona.
