The Seminari Filosofia i Gènere, as part of the Consolidated Research Group (GRC) Creació i Pensament de les Dones, is organizing the thesis workshop for Araceli Rosillo Luque, of Tàcita Muta - Grup d'Estudis de Dones i Gènere a l'Antiguitat, about "El monasterio de Santa Clara de Manresa (siglos XIV-XVII). Historia de las clarisas del Bages". Her doctoral thesis, directed by Blanca Garí de Aguilera, aims to offer a comprehensive interpretation of the lifestyle of the Poor Clares and the bonds they established with different social agents, the transformations in religious life that occured during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and, finally, study the processes which led to the arrival of the Dominican sisters of Barcelona to the convent.
