Rosa Ribas will speak about her work in the seminar "Narrativa criminal entre espacios y tiempos. De Cornelia Weber-Tejedor a la Barcelona años 50 de Ana Martí". Her most popular novels are protagonized by a female captain of the German police, Cornelia Weber-Tejedor, daughter of a German and a Galician emigrant. However, in Don de lenguas, written together with Sabine Hofmann, Ribas creates a new character who will carry the weight of the investigation, Ana Martí, a society reporter, which allows crime fiction to make an incursion into historical fiction and to write about the hidden reality of the Barcelona of the 1950s. Rosa Ribas will analyze the differences implicit in writing with these two characters. This seminar is held as part of the research project "Women and crime fiction in Spain (1975-2010): female authors, power figures, victims and criminals (MUNCE)". Attendance by invitation only.
