Lectora 23: Punk Connections

Publication

Issue 23 of Lectora: revista de dones i textualitat has just been published. This volume includes a Dossier, edited by Cristina Garrigós (UNED) and Nuria Triana Toribio (University of Kent), aimed at commemorating the intersections between punk culture and gender from a transcultural perspective. The Dossier, entitled "Punk Connections: a Transcultural Perspective”, offers works by Paula Guerra, Gabriela Gelain, Tania Moreira, Rafael Gómez Alonso, Ángel Chaparro and Soraya Alonso. The Varia section includes essays on women writers from the 19th century, a reading of Gabriela Mistral’s work through the resignification of language, or the analysis of "Shōjo", amongst others. The journal also gathers its usual sections on Reviews and Artistic Creations, which features the publication of Miriam Vega's work on the pictoric and poetic representation of prosthetic bodies. This issue concludes with a translation of Ida Dominijanni’s text "Después del patriarcado. Feminismo y cuestión masculina" by Fina Birulés, Àngela Lorena Fuster and Àngels Vivas.
