Katarzyna Paszkiewicz (ADHUC—Universitat de les Illes Balears) and Mary Harrod (University of Warwick) have been awarded the I BAFTSS Award, by the British Association of Film, Television and Screen Studies for their collective volume Women Do Genre in Film and Television (Routledge 2017). This book focuses on contributions by women filmmakers in popular formats in the United States, France, Spain, and India, and includes essays on direction, scriptwriting, acting, and reception. Apart from the editors, the following authors have collaborated in this volume: Linda Badley, Francesca Coppa, Roberta Garrett, Christine Gledhill, Dawn Hall, Deborah Jermyn, Jorie Lagerwey, Nicole Richter, Brigitte Rollet, Sanghita Sen, Frances Smith, and Barbara Zecchi.
