1. Organic livestock in Catalonia and Spain. Characterization and production costs of organic farms in Catalonia. Livestock and sustainability in the Montseny Natural Park (Catalonia, Spain). Development of a sustainability index that takes into accounts both ecological and productivity assessments, for the various pasture types of the Northern Iberian peninsula. Mapping, characterization and evaluation of Spanish pastures.

2. Cattle as a forest management tool and pasture invasion by woody plants. Cattle as a clearer; combustible biomass reduction; species and breeds more adequate to woody plant exploitation. Pasture invasion by woody plants: the problem of cattle activity reduction; biodiversity loss, need for periodic controlled burns. 

3. Carbon balance in mountain pastures. The role of mountain pastures as C drains. C flows in the soil-plant-animal-atmosphere system.

4. Natural grasslands resources. Plant species selection in extensive cattle conditions. Microhistologic analysis of manure to determine cattle food.

5. Organic farming as a survival option. Peasant agriculture (Central America).
