The UB Water Observatory was inaugurated in the Aula Magna of the University of Barcelona's Historic Building on 15 November 2003. This observatory was the embryo of the current UB Institute for Water Research.
To mark the tenth anniversary of this event, a full-day conference with morning and afternoon sessions will be held on 15 November 2013, with presentations not exceeding 15 minutes. To ensure the widest possible dissemination of their content, the presentations, may be in English, Spanish or Catalan.
Renowned professors and professionals will analyse climate change and its repercussions for nature, health, history and the pollution of surface and groundwater, without forgetting the economics of water and the study and analysis of the chemical, physical and biological processes that affect it. The contributions from these national and international figures will be followed by a live audience debate and a question-and-answer session.
