IdRA's Internal Scientific Session “Retos y desafíos para la protección sostenible del agua potable”, by the visiting researcher PhD. Prof. Manuel Rodríguez-Pinzón

The IdRA organized the Internal Scientific Session “Retos y desafíos para la protección sostenible del agua potable”, by PhD. Prof. Manuel Rodríguez-PInzón, visiting researcher from the Université Laval (Quebec, Canada), on 25th October 2016. PhD. Prof. Rodríguez-Pinzón provided an explanation of the state of art of the research and the current scenario of the management of drinking water in the Quebec region. A scientific debate and exchange of experiences among the attenders followed the presentation. The research carried out by the research groups of Dr. Rodríguez-Pinzón and those of the IdRA‘s researchers have several connection points, which would allow for the establishment of linkages of cooperation with different groups of the IdRA.

PhD. Prof. Manuel Rodríguez-Pinzón, PhD in Environmental Engineering is professor in the School of Land Management and Regional Planning of the University of Laval in Quebec City, Canada; CRSNG Industrial Research Chair for Management and Monitoring of the Quality of Drinking Water, and Director of the Research Center on Urban and Regional Planning (CRAD).  PhD. Prof. Manuel Rodríguez-Pinzón cooperates with experts in the field of water from various disciplines ranging from the Public Policies to Environmental Modeling.

During his research stay at IdRA, from August until October 2016, PhD. Prof. Rodríguez-Pinzón participated in different IdRA activities and established contact with some researchers with projection for future collaborations.
