Invitation to the ceremony "Viability of the Bonelli’s eagle population in Catalonia: guidelines for conservation"
 The Dean of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Barcelona, Dr. Gustavo Llorente Cabrera, is proud to invite you to the ceremony to present the results of the project “Viability of the Bonelli’s eagle population in Catalonia: guidelines for conservation” that will take will take place next Thursday 3rd March, at 19.00 hours, in the Main Hall of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Barcelona (Ave. Diagonal, 643). We will have the intervention of Dr. Enric Isidre Canela Campos, Vice Chancellor for Science Policy of the University of Barcelona, Mr. Josep Rull Andreu, Minister of Territory and Sustainability of the Government of Catalonia, Mr. Valentí Junyent Torras, Deputy Director of Natural Spaces and Environment of the Barcelona Provincial Council, and Dr. Joan Real Ortí, director of the Conservation Biology Group of the University of Barcelona. This project began in 2014 when the MAVA Foundation (en.mava-foundation.org/) granted the Conservation Biology Group of the University of Barcelona and the Barcelona Provincial Council the financial support to establish the conservation targets to ensure the viability of the Bonelli’s eagle population in Catalonia. On the other hand, one of the results of the project has been the draft of the “ Guidelines for the conservation of Bonelli’s eagle populations ”, with the aim that managers, practitioners, naturalists and stakeholders have a practical tool to properly manage the species in their different action frameworks (local, municipal, protected area or region), and thus helping to the conservation of the species. The ceremony will be free and open to the public. Those in attendance will receive a copy of these conservation guidelines. At the end of the event snacks and drinks will be served.
