Comparison with similar birds

There are several distinctive features to identify the Bonelli´s Eagle and distinguish it from other species.

One of these features is the wingspan or length of the bird with extended wings: 150-180 cm. This parameter may be very useful to distinguish it from bigger animals such as the Golden Eagle or the Griffon Vulture, or smaller, such as the Raven or Common Buzzard.

The only species of similar colours and size is the Short-toed Eagle, although this one has the lower part of the wings white-coloured.
