The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound) has granted the AQR group the project  Does reducing non-wage labour costs generate sustainable new employment? - A review of evaluations. (EUROFOUND 150008/3360).

The objective of this project is to summarize the current state of knowledge on the effectiveness of reduced employer social security contributions and/or employer payroll taxes as an employment‐creating policy intervention using a review of evaluations and, to identify which countries have carried out taxation reforms related to the topic of interest of the call and investigate its impact.

The Kick-off meeting of the project was held at the headquarters of Eurofound in Dublin on July 30th and the research will be finalised by May 2016, although some preliminary results will be presented in early 2016. The team is led by Dr. Raul Ramos, together with Drs. Christian Dreger (DIW) Enrique López-Bazo, Rosina Moreno, Vicente Royuela, and Jordi Suriñach, also membres of AQR-IREA.
