AQR-Lab participates as a Partner in the EIT-HEALTH European project 6MWT+

23-01-2019

The aim of 6MWT+ is to monitor the evolution of a wide range of pathologies affecting mobility by means of the biomechanical functionality; being the final goal to personalize and improve treatments and, lately, quality of life. To achieve this challenging goal, a portable system will be designed and developed.

Eurecat coordinates the project and will develop the interface from a technological point of view, while the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital and the Neuromuscular Center of Copenhagen will lead the evaluation of the system, and Genesis Biomed will lead the development of the business plan in collaboration with AQR-Lab and Eurecat. AQR-Lab, will basically do the Cost Benefit Analysis associated to the introduction of the utilization of this interface. On the other hand, the association Duchenne Parent Project Spain will provide the point of view of patients and caregivers and will participate in the design of the set and the validation. The project also has the participation of the Leitat technology center and the support of the EIT Health community, which will boost its implementation in the market as a medical device.

This project has received funding from EIT Health supported by the European Union.
