Determinants of academic dropout of the women and existing differential factors with respect to men

Objective Recognizing the relationship between the gender variable, academic achievement and causes/determinants behind the poor academic performance (in terms of drop-out) of the women registered in university. Suggesting university policy measures or gender policies, to improve outcomes in the short and medium term in all the factors (housing, employment, social environment, ...) that influence the withdrawal of women.
Methodology It consists of descriptive analysis and econometrical-statistic analysis (linear models and logit models) of the databases. There are 3 phases: 1) Analysis of the information, level of degrees, with no-individual data. 2) Analysis of the information, level of degrees, with individual data 3) Development of a survey on the student perceptions 33.103 observations are considered in the micro study, distributed over 13 degrees, while the number of degrees of the macro study are 33.
