Objective

Development of a detailed study of the economic impact of the Iberian Bull Fair of Olivenza for the city and the region.

Methodology

1)Review of the bullfighting tradition in Olivenza, recalling the figure of bullfighters born or directly related to Olivenza, and specifically the Feria del Toro.

2)Development of an individualized survey of visitors and locals, detailing the expenditure figure, the motivations, the repetition factors, and the general assessment of the event as a whole and the bullfighting fair in particular.

3)Updating of the regional Input Output table, which allows the induced effect to be detailed to the maximum, and also derives the economic impact that remains in the region and that which is exported to other areas of the country.

4)Evaluation of the results obtained and elaboration of conclusions and recommendations to optimize local investments and design future strategies.
