Economic models and indicators for the analysis of economic policy in the Dominican Republic

Objective Developing a set of indicators and models that enable monitoring the key variables of the economic system in order to facilitate the decision making of economic policy. They are concretely three: Economic activity level indicator (monthly or quarterly) Macroeconomic Forecasting Models of the Economy (quarterly and annual) Consumer Confidence Index These will also help to identify deficiencies in statistical information as well as the measurement errors in it.
Methodology Detection and review of necessary databases and bibliographic information for preparation of indicators and econometric models. Application of univariate and multivariate techniques, statistics and econometrics which allow to get quarterly and annual estimations and forecasts. Preparation of a specific Document-report associated with each of the indexes, explaining the objectives and results.
