Objective Analyze the impact generated by the activity of cruises from the port of Barcelona to the city of Barcelona and Catalonia as a whole (year 2014).
Methodology Quantification of total economic impact (direct, indirect and induced) generated by the activity of the cruises at the port of Barcelona: 1. Direct impact. Expense of shipping on purchases of goods and services, of cruise passengers and of the crew in the city. 2. Indirect impact. Effect generated from the requirements of goods and services from businesses directly benefited from the cruise activity... At the same time, it is generated a multiplier effect that spreads throughout the economy. 3. Induced impacts. Effects of the consumer spending that makes the occupied generated directly and indirectly Very rigorous and exhaustive field work (data collection) Calculation of indirect and induced effects through input-output methodology
