Department of Business and Employment of the Generalitat of Catalonia
2012
Principal investigator Jordi Suriñach
Investigative team Jordi Suriñach / Manuel Artís / Raul Ramos i Esther Vayá
Objective To inform to the Department of Business and Labour the effects that the Fiscal Pact, by reducing the fiscal deficit, may have on the income and the employment in Catalonia. To estimate how the results vary depending on the different uses that the Government could do with extra incomes. To identify which sections would be the most benefited from the policies implemented
Methodology Use of the input-output tables methodology from the available information of the Catalan economy for the 2005 (TIOC 2005), distinguishing between direct, indirect and induced effects, supplemented with the results of simulations carried out with the QUEST model.
