OME attractiveness indicator of foreign markets

Objective Offering a synthetic vision of the main characteristics of different international economies referring to its potential business opportunities capacity in terms of exports and investment. Facilitating decision making for Catalan businessmen in their foreign investment. The study focuses on 55 countries, including ten most competitive economies according to World Economic Forum and main emerging countries according to the OECD and the World Bank.
Methodology Comparison of these economies on the basis of a set of indicators and the explanatory elements of the international competitiveness of a country and its potentiality as a destination of Catalan Investment. In order to collect this information a global index is created which is based on partial indicators that represent the macroeconomic environment, costs and prices, productivity and human capital, technological capacity, environment for doing business, life conditions and labor and market potential.
