Objective

Measure the economic and social impact that the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya has on the Catalan economy in terms of: Gross value added (GVA) and GDP, Production-turnover, Jobs and Tax collection.

Methodology

1a. Phase. Explain and collect the necessary set of statistical information.

2a. Phase. Explain and collect the set of additional statistical information for fieldwork.

3a. Phase. Quantification of the direct and indirect impact of the variable's turnover, GVA and employed population. Use of the Input-Output methodology.

4a. Phase. Calculation of the induced impact, consisting of the return to the economy of the remuneration of employees appeared by the employees obtained in the direct and indirect effects.

5a. Phase. Calculation of the tax collection associated with the tax set most directly related to the activity to be measured.

6th. Phase. Writing and presentation of results in both absolute and relative terms.
