Objective Offering a synthetic vision of the recent evolution of the main Catalan labor market variables of interest (activity, employment, temporality, contract types, accidents, unemployment and salaries) in order to identify what its evolution could be and to propose policy recommendations that allow to face with greater economic guarantees the challenges in catalan labor market. Forecast the 1-2 years evolution of the main labor market variables.
Methodology Different techniques depending on statistics availability have been quite used to achieve the objectives and results: descriptive statistics, uni-equation models, multi-equation models, VAR, univariate time series, general equilibrium models such as multivariate techniques and time series. The labor market results have been compared with Spanish and the European Union variables.
