| The Seagrass Systems Ecology team within the “Benthic Ecology and Biology Research Group” is formed by professors from the Departament d'Ecologia de la Universitat de Barcelona and researchers from the Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Blanes. Research lines include a wide variety of approaches and subjects, ranging from ecophysiology to aspects related to landscape ecology. Part of the activity within the team is devoted to the transfer of knowledge, particularly to the development of water quality indicators based on seagrass ecosystems and the study of impacts provoked by human activities (aquaculture, desalination, harbours). Moreover, the team plays a key role in advanced training by teaching master courses and supervising Master and PhD theses. |
