Placements

Placements are student training activities organized by the University of Barcelona to supplement students' academic activities. The main objectives of placements are to help students put into practice what they have learnt in their lectures and gain the practical skills they will need in the workplace.

Those companies or institutions that are interested in taking part in a placement program should draw up a proposal of the kind of placement they would offer students of the UB and present this to the placement coordinator of the degree course in question. He or she will then analyse the proposal and decide if the activities planned by the company would be suitable for the student. Finally, if the coordinator's report is favourable, the UB and the company or institution formalize the placement by signing a placement agreement.

If you would like to participate in a placement program to train UB students in the fields of the arts, design or conservation-restoration, please contact the coordinator of the degree course for which you would like to propose a placement. The Faculty offers the following degree courses.

Contracts and work placements for students or graduates in Fine Arts

Through the UB’s careers service Feina UB, the University of Barcelona aims to promote relationships between the university and the business sector by providing a web resource for companies to recruit Undergraduateds and graduates who have professional profiles that meet the challenges of a constantly changing labour market.

Companies and students alike can use this simple, automated resource to view the faculty’s job mart pages and consult postings in such areas as job openings, self-selection and personnel selection, and work placements.
