Our research in biomedical image analysis is currently focused on processing single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) in order to provide more accurate quantification of gammagraphic studies. To this end, iterative algorithms are being developed for three-dimensional reconstruction of images and for combination of SPECT and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) images.
