| FIELDS OF INTEREST |
Study of brain mechanisms of involuntary attention and cognitive control,
by means of event- related potentials and the study of brain oscillations associated to
cognitive control and novelty processing.
The study of human individual differences in cognitive control and novelty processing based
on genetic polymorphisms. The study of Behavioral and Electrophysiological Genetics in order
to understand human differences in control of attention and susceptibility to certain pathologies.
The study of Gamma Brain Responses synchrony to novel stimuli.

| Current projects |
Human differences in cerebral mechanisms involved
in exogenous and endogenous control of attention. The current
project aims at determining the role the genetic variability
related to the dopaminergic system in cognitive control and
novelty processing.
Gamma Barnd Responses to novel stimuli in an emotional context.
The current project aim at determining the response of Gamma band activity
to auditory novel stimuli, and the optimization of neural responses during
an emotional situation for the processing of stimuli.
Spatial-temporal dynamics of the activation of Inferior Frontal and Superior
Temporal Gyrus to novel syllables with either neutral or angry prosody.

ERP/EEG software: ANT software (Eprobe, Eemagine, ASA), Brain Vision software and Fieldtrip.
Optical Imaging software: P-pod, Opt3D.
Electrode location digitization with Polhemus and Polaris.
Experimental tasks programming: Eprime, Presentation.
Experience in handling and manipulation of EEG equipment, caps, external electrodes, amplifier and headbox.
