Last 28th of December, our group members, Carol Estarellas and Toni Viayna, virtually participated as guest speakers in the International Bioinformatics Conference 2021 (IBC'2021) organised by Moroccan Society of Bioinformatics and Laboratory of Innovative Technologies and took place in the Kenzi Solazur Hotel in Tangier (Morocco). The conference was chaired by Prof. Amal Maurady, who is professor at the Faculty of Science and Technics of Tangier and collaborator of our group.
Carol gave a talk related with one of the main research lines she is dealing with entitled "Understanding the selectivity for β-isoforms of direct allosteric modulators of AMPK", meanwhile Toni gave a presentation entitled "Characterizing the bioactive species: the relevance of physicochemical properties", that pretended to be a summary of recent projects he participated, that have in common the proper estimation and consideration of different issues, such as: Lipophilicity, Protonation, Conformations and Tautomerism.
