Universitat de Barcelona
The Universitat de Barcelona is the leader of university research in Spain. In volume of publications, the UB is the second statal institution after the CSIC according to the Third European report on science & technology indicators. It is conformed by 109 deparments and more than 5.000 researchers, tecnicians and assistants, most of them working in one of the 226 research groups, 10 singular research groups or 13 emerging research groups recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Five deparment from three faculties from the UB participate in the CciL PhD program: the deparment of Lògica, Filosofia del Llenguatge i Filosofia de la Ciència, Departament d'Història de la Filosofia, Estètica i Filosofia de la Cultura, the Departament de Lingüística, the Departament de Psicologia Bàsica and the Departament de Metodologia de les Ciències del Comportament. Each faculty has a coordinator that supervises his own branch: Faustino Diéguez (Linguistics), José Martínez Fernández (Philosophy) and Laura Bosch (Psyschology).
