Nowadays, the teaching activity at UPF is centered in social sciences and humanities, biological sciences, and communication, both in the technological sense and in the professional one. The UPF, in addition to being a leading university in humanities and social sciences, also leads two capital projects in sciences: the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park and the Barcelona Media Park –a big  infrastructure of teaching and research in the communication and technology areas. Those projects complete and complement the research map of the university. In addition, the UPF has a very wide offer in postgraduate studies completely actualized and able to fit the needs of the professinal market.
