The philosophy section of the Doctorate Program Cognitive Science and Language provides a first-rate training in the coresubjects of contemporary analytic philosophy, the philosophy of language and mind, epistemology and metaphysics. Subjects are taught so that students are directly acquainted in practice with the characteristic argumentative rigor of the analytic conception of philosophy. Students are also supposed to take some subject in Psychology, and some in Linguistics, which allows to complement their formation acknowledging the cognitive sciences which are most relevant for philosophical research, and hence to initiate themselves in the practice of research in philosophy, as this is understood through the analytic conception.
