Analytical Methods

Analisi2

Our labs are fully equipped to perform biochemical analyses with biological samples of all types: plasma, serum, tissues, cells, faeces, etc.

Our team’s extensive background in analysis and ample experience mean that we can develop and optimise new methodologies when needed. CEREMET’s staff is also trained and certified to work with radiochemical analysis.

These services always include CEREMET’s expert advice and technical support.

In vivo Studies

IN VIVO

Our well-equipped animal facilities allow us to house all the animals in a controlled environment so that we can effectively perform experimental procedures.

We also have the certificate to perform in vivo studies under Good Laboratory Practice principles.

CEREMET’s trained staff has extensive experience working with animal models, as well as official accreditation as animal researchers for testing and other scientific objectives.

If needed, our clients can also send their own personnel to perform in vivo procedures at our animal facilities.

In vitro Studies

In vitro studies

CEREMET offers functional in vitro studies in collaboration with the Badalona-Applied Research Group in Oncology (B·ARGO).

In oncology research, in vitro models are essential for screening and for determining the efficacy of existing drugs and identifying new active compounds.

The B·ARGO has a highly qualified staff, specialised equipment and solid experience in performing these types of studies.

IN VITRO STUDIES INCLUDE:

  • Cell viability assays (MTT, XTT)
  • Analyses of combined drug effects using Compusyn software (Chow and Talalay method)
  • Migration and invasion assays
  • Colony-formation assays
  • Cell death assays (propidium iodide/annexin-V assay and flow cytometry)
  • Immunoprecipitation assays
  • Quantitative RT-PCR
  • Gene silencing assays (siRNA, shRNA and CRISPR/Cas9 techniques)
  • Gene overexpression assays
  • Immunofluorescence analysis
  • Immunohistochemistry staining
  • DNA sequencing techniques
  • Cell sorting by means of flow cytometry
  • Tumour cell types: melanoma, glioblastoma, breast, prostate, bladder, lung, colorectal and ovarian cancer
