Summary:

The liberty and inner strength are the best tools to do tour way as teachers. As children, we should trust in life and keep our eyes open to sense the surprises which make us enjoying. We are privileged to have a job which opens doors and windows to others and at the same time it does to ourselves. Our profession is a frontier and put us in a situation of adaptation to each change which takes place around us. We are in charge of guiding the comprehension of these changes and taking part of them. And if we do it group the better will be.

Workshop aims:

  • To live a situation of group experience learning.
  • To reflect about our professional identity.
  • To share the reflection done with the group.

Contents:

•  Professional identity.

• Reflective learning.

Methodology:

The workshop will begin with a presentation of everyone and a work proposal. It will be followed by a group experience in which elements of the professional identity of the attendants will be come into play. The third phase will consist on a shared reflection which will allow stopping, feeling, thinking and expressing the experience lived.

Brief curriculum of the former:

Bartomeu is schoolteacher, secondary school teacher and teacher of teachers at the Institute of Education Sciences of University of Lleida.
Xavi is teacher and university teacher at Autonomous University of Barcelona, and teacher of teachers at different institutions.
