Summary:

During the workshop an education model based on the building teaching identity will be presented. Some tools used during the process will be experienced.

It is widely accepted that every teacher requires of vocation in order to carry out its function and guarantee its sustainability through its professional career; but that it is not enough. To become a good education teacher it is necessary the competence building as a teacher and tutor.

When the teacher attains its professional identity, the competence learning is given. The professional identity building involves individual work in relation to your own beliefs, values, emotions and attitudes.

Workshop aims:

* To make aware of the teaching identity importance
* To present a continuous training model to build up the teaching identity.
* To experience with continuous training tools to build up the teaching identity.

Contents:

*Teaching identity: attitudes, values, belief, emotions and behaviours.
* Continuous training process to build up the teaching identity.
* Escort: tutorship, mentor and coaching.

Methodology:

 Theoretical exhibition and collaborative and participative activities will be combined.

Brief curriculum of the former:

Bachelor Degree in Psychology, MA in Family Psychotherapy and MA in Citizenship and Values Education. Teacher in Psychology and Pedagogy. Currently, he does continuous training for teachers at ICE of University of Barcelona. Responsible for Tutorship, Coexistence and Inclusion Programme. Teacher at the Faculty of Pedagogy at UB and member of GROP. Head and co-ordinator of the postgraduate course “Tutorship and its practice” in primary and secondary school. Co-ordinator of “ Escolta'm ” ( Listen to me ) project and the working group “Educational Coaching”. He is involved in different researches and innovative topics on tutorship, coexistence, emotional education and interpersonal relationships. He has published: Coexistence in Secondary School. Strategies to face the conflict (2003). Tutorship and tutor. Strategies for its practice (2008). Escolta'm project (2009). He is also author of different articles of different magazines.
