Evolution: past and present of a Theory

Within the frame of the celebration acts of the Darwin Year to commemorate the 200 years anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150 years since The Origin of Species was published, the CRBA presents an exhibition about the Theory of Evolution.

The exhibition, organised by Dr. Montserrat Papaceit, from the Departament de Genètica, includes 15 explanatory posters about the past and present of the Theory. Texta have been elaborated by several professors of the Facultat de Biologia: Miquel Àngel Arnedo, Joan Balanyà, David Bueno, Elvira Juan, Francesc Mestres, Dorcas Orengo, Montserrat Papaceit, Marta Riutort, Julio Rozas and Josep Sànchez. The Centre de Recursos de Biodiversitat Animal has been responsible for its design and edition.

The exhibition has been funded by the Agència de Gestió d'Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca, the Societat Catalana de Biologia, the International Union of Biological Sciences, the Society for the Study of Evolution and Redes Moleculares.
