The Hidden Colours of Nature
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science" Albert Einstein
The world is what our senses can perceive, but... there is another world that our eyes can not see. The exhibition intends on approaching a world that remains unknown to our senses, shedding light on the colours that we do not see. Through sophisticated photographic techniques, we get to gather those colours that nature hides and that can be perceived by other organisms. In this way, we can understand the interactions that are established between different beings: the dialogue of flowers and pollinizers, the traps that make some predators to attract their preys, competence between insects and flowering birds and many other questions...
Made by the CRBA in association with the Jardí Botànic de Barcelona, this exhibition was presented a few months ago in the Jardí Botànic on the occasion of the Science Year 2007. Now, it can be visited at the CRBA from the 23rd of April to the 31st of July 2008.
