Causal data science is a hot topic in the business applications of machine learning that go beyond predicting a value to actually deciding the best intervention to take based on such a prediction. We have designed a workshop that covers the key concepts and methods through a combination of lectures, discussion of business use cases and hands-on practice.
This course is targeted at data scientists and researchers interested in combining causal inference and machine learning with real industry use cases. The tutorial assumes some working knowledge in statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and the Python programming language.
A limited number of seats is available.
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
Minimal experience on Python programming and probability theory. Attendees are expected to bring their own laptops for the hands-on practical work.

We will illustrate the workshop contents with Jupyter notebooks, a web application that allows you to create and share documents that contain live code, equations, visualizations and explanatory text.
