Iñigo González Ricoy

I am an associate professor of political philosophy at the University of Barcelona, coordinator of the International Office at the UB Faculty of Philosophy, and co-editor of Law, Ethics and Philosophy.

I am also member of the Barcelona Institute of Analytic Philosophy as well as external member of the Chaire Hoover d'éthique économique et sociale at the Université de Louvain and the research group Law and Philosophy at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where I held postdoctoral positions in the past. I have also been visiting fellow at Justitia Amplificata, Goethe Universität Frankfurt, visiting scholar at Columbia University, visiting professor at the UPF Department of Political and Social Sciences and, during my doctorate, which I got in 2012 at UB, visiting student at New York University and at University College London.

My research is in political and legal philosophy, and I am currently principal investigator, with Jahel Queralt (UPF), of a project onJustice and Work: A Normative Analysis of Nonstandard Forms of Employment,” funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science. In addition to labor issues, including nonstandard work, the political theory of the firm, and workplace democracy, my research interests cover intergenerational justice and future-oriented policymaking in areas like climate policy, and various issues within democratic and constitutional theory.
