Iñigo Gonzalez Ricoy

I am an assistant professor in political philosophy at the University of Barcelona, coordinator of the International Office at the Faculty of Philosophy, and co-editor of Law, Ethics and Philosophy. I am also an affiliated member of the Chaire Hoover d'éthique économique et sociale at the Université de Louvain, of the Philosophy of Law Group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and of the Political Theory Group at the Universidade do Minho.

Previously I have been a postdoctoral fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and at the Chaire Hoover at the Université de Louvain, and a teaching assistant at UB, where I got my PhD in 2012. I have also been a visiting fellow at Justitia Amplificata, Goethe Universität Frankfurt, a visiting scholar at Columbia University, a visiting professor at UPF and, while doing my PhD, a visiting student at New York University and at University College London.

My research is in political and legal philosophy, particularly on intergenerational politics, constitutionalism, workplace democracy, and general issues within democratic theory. It has been published in Law and Philosophy, the Journal of Applied Philosophy, and Social Theory and Practice, among other journals. Together with Axel Gosseries I have recently edited a book, Institutions for Future Generations, published with Oxford University Press.
