Why do we behave in a certain way? What forces drive us to behave morally or immorally? What variables are involved when we face specific situations? At the Individual Differences Laboratory at the UB (IDLab-UB), we study how individual differences shape our behavior and choices, with an emphasis on biological and social factors that may influence them and the processes underlying these individual differences.

Although we focus our research on (1) antisocial behavior, we do not dismiss other issues such as (2) gene-environment interactions, (3) personality structure, (4) clinical applications of personality psychology or (5) personality measurement. This research group is part of the Dept. of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Barcelona. and is led by David Gallardo-Pujol, Ph.D. We tightly work with other groups such as the GEAV (led by Antonio Andrés-Pueyo, Ph.D.) the IRT Modeling group (Alberto Maydeu-Olivares, Ph.D.), or the EVENT-LAB (Mel Slater, PhD).
