Les proteïnes morfógenes óseas (BMPs) formen una família de factors multifuncionals de creixement i diferenciació que pertanyen a la superfamília del factor de creixement transformant-b (TGF-b). Tant les BMPs com el TGF-ß controlen diversos processos durant el desenvolupament que inclouen proliferació, diferenciació, supervivència o morfogènesi. L´objectiu del nostre grup és l´anàlisi dels mecanismes de transducció de senyals i d´activació transcripcional induits tant per les BMPs, que es troben implicades en els fenòmens de diferenciació ósea.
