General learning objectives
 

To train professionals capable of preventing criminal activity, understanding it, addressing it and providing solutions from the viewpoints of the offender and the victim, as a result of training in disciplines such as criminology, psychology and sociology as well as other more specific or innovative approaches to crime in the information society and through the use of new technologies.

 
Basic curriculum contents
 

Criminology is a multidisciplinary program, including study areas as diverse as Penal Law, Public Health, Criminal Psychology, Forensic Sciences, Crime Prevention, Research Methods in Criminology, Victimology, etc.

  • Ability to work in teams.

  • Synthetic reasoning.


  • Ability to adapt constantly and use new technologies and tools.

  • Working in penitentiary facilities.

Students may continue after graduation, acquiring training in research or advancing their studies through the UB's doctoral programs or postgraduate studies.
