The Faculty of Law’s media channels

The Office of the Vice-Dean for Institutional Relations coordinates and promotes the publicising of various events organized by our teaching staff both within and beyond the Faculty, including academic meets, seminars and talks.

The basic mechanism for those interested in advertising a forthcoming event is the online form (in Catalan), in which users are asked to provide basic information about the activity being proposed. For further information about using this form, you can contact the media manager Teo Marco.

The faculty’s media channels include the following:

• The Faculty of Law webpage
  
  
• On-site news screens (two in the Faculty cafeteria area, one in the Faculty’s Ilerdense Building and one in the Historic Building in Plaça Universitat).
  
  
• The Faculty’s monthly gazette the Butlletí Informatiu de la Facultat de Dret, which includes reports on past events, interviews, photographs and news on forthcoming events (see back issues [in Catalan]).
  
  
• The weekly newsletter the Butlletí Exprés (in Catalan), published every Monday, which provides a calendar of the events scheduled for the following week (note that back issues will soon be available online at the same page offering back issues of the Butlletí Informatiu [see above]).
  
  
• The Faculty’s Program of Events (in Catalan), which offers details on the week’s activities, both within and beyond the Faculty.
  
  
• The UB website pages News, Events and Press Office, and the University of Barcelona’s quarterly magazine La Universitat, where the Faculty receives coverage on a regular basis.

Regulating the Faculty’s media channels

The Faculty of Law applies an internal procedure to regulate the dissemination of its publications and activities and to coordinate the use of various media channels to do this. Over the years, this procedure has provided the means by which to improve the dissemination of the Faculty’s activities and reinforce the effectiveness and transparency of the media channels it uses.
