Job Market opportunities

We invite applications for faculty appointments for two visiting positions - to be consolidated in two tenure-track faculty positions subject to budgetary approval - to begin in September of 2013.

Applicants should have completed a doctorate by July 2013.

Candidates from several fields are encouraged to apply. Two departments of the Faculty of Economics and Business (http://www.ub.edu/economiaempresa/) at the Universitat de Barcelona participate in the call (Department of Economic Theory, Department of Economic Policy and World Economic Structure).

The school has four undergraduate degrees (Economics, Business, Statistics and Sociology), various MSc programs, and four PhD programs (Economics, Business, Economic History and Sociology). Both the Economics graduate program and the research activities in Economics are coordinated through UB Economics, a project designed to support the excellence and internationalization of the faculty. (http://www.ub.edu/ubeconomics). The candidates will have teaching duties in English both at the undergraduate and graduate level and will be encouraged to participate in research activities.

We will be interviewing at the XXXVI Simposio de la Asociación Española de Economía (SAEe) to be held in Vigo, Spain (http://www.asesec.org/simposio/) next December and at the Royal Economic Society (RES) (http://www.res.org.uk/view/postgraduateJob.html) PhD Presentation Meeting and Job Market to be held at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) next January 2013.
