Scripta manent

Exhibition open on the days of the congress, from 10:00h to 19:00h
Museum of Archaeology of Catalonia
Address: Passeig de Sta. Madrona, s/n

The exhibition Scripta manent focuses on aspects of Roman civilization, through an examination of the records written on materials such as stone and bronze. The exhibition covers the pre-Christian period, up until the fourth century AD. The epigraphs shed light on a variety of everyday elements of Roman society: the world of religion, the world of work, and social status. The army, public works, literature and the law are also represented in the sample.
